Professor Baozong YUAN

Baozong YUAN received his Vice Ph. D. of the former Soviet Union, He is now a Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, the honor director and the founder of Institute of Information Science. He is also a famous specialist in information science and the founder of the Signal Processing Society of CIE. He has served as the director of branch and the vice chairman of the council in CIE for a long time. He was invited as the member of assessment council of the State Academic Committee the member of assessment council of the National Natural Science Foundation, the consultant specialist in information field of the National Key Fundamental Research Projects (973) and the member of academic council of five national key laboratories. Prof. Yuan is reputable in the field of signal and information processing. He played key role of a series of international and Chinese academic organizations. He is a member of IEEE, the chairman of IEEE Beijing Branch of Computer Science, a fellow of IEE, the chairman of IEE Beijing Branch and the editor of the journal for International Artificial Intelligence and International Electronic Education. He was the recipient of National ‘May 1st’ Labor Medal, National Excellent Technology Work, National Outstanding Contribution Youth Expert, and National Protruding Contribution Specialist. His current research interests include image processing, computer vision, multimedia information processing and virtual reality.
